Student and teacher attendance app
Arkantara's student attendance app lets homeroom and subject teachers record attendance per day or per lesson right in the browser. Student leave, staff leave, and teacher check-in by QR code live in the same place and roll up into monthly and semester recaps.

What you can do

Attendance by class and lesson
Five statuses: present, sick, excused, absent, and late. Homeroom teachers record every session of their class, subject teachers their own lessons, and future dates stay closed.

Student leave with a note attached
Staff or parents submit sick or excused leave with a PDF or photo attached. Approved leave flows into attendance, and only reviewers and the student's guardians can open the file.

Corrections with an audit trail
Teachers request corrections with a reason for review, while authorised staff can correct directly. Every correction is written to the audit log.

Teacher check-in by QR code
A kiosk screen shows a QR code that keeps changing. Teachers and staff scan it with their own account and are marked present or late against the school start time.

Employee leave
Staff request sick leave, permission, annual leave, or official duty with an attachment. Approval updates staff attendance, and official duty counts as present.

Daily, monthly, and semester recaps
Per-student recaps show the count for each status and the attendance rate. Class attendance reports download as CSV or PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Who can record student attendance?
Active homeroom teachers record every session of their class. Subject teachers record the daily session of classes they teach and their own lessons, including ones they cover. Staff with full rights can record any class.
What do parents see?
When the parent portal is on, guardians see their child's attendance summary and history, daily and per subject, and can submit leave with a note attached. Parents cannot request leave for dates that have passed.
How is teacher and staff attendance recorded?
Staff can fill in employee attendance per date, or employees scan the kiosk QR code with their own account. Existing records are never overwritten, and employees on approved leave are refused when they scan.
