Arkantara's online exam software runs school CBT, from daily quizzes to formal computer-based exams. Questions come from the question bank, students sit the exam in a browser with a timer and token, and proctors follow participant status live.

Question bank with AKM-style items
Multiple choice, complex multiple choice, true/false, matching, short answer, and essay, with images and formulas. Questions can be imported in bulk from a CSV file.

Online exams with tokens and timers
Each exam has a time window, a duration, and an optional token. Questions and options can be shuffled, and the attempt submits itself when time runs out.

Live exam monitoring
Proctors see who is present, saved answers, and submissions as they happen. An exam can be limited to the school network through a list of IP addresses.

Behaviour monitoring
Leaving full screen and switching tabs or apps count as violations, and copying is blocked. Schools choose to warn, lock, or auto-submit once the limit is reached.

Automatic and essay grading
Objective questions are scored automatically and essays are graded by teachers. Results and rankings can be exported, and scores can be pulled into the report card grade sheet.

Item analysis and diagnostics
Item analysis shows difficulty, discrimination, and the spread of answers. Diagnostic exams map mastery per learning objective and suggest learning groups.
Frequently asked questions
Do students need to install an app?
No. Exams run in the browser on a computer, laptop, or phone. Monitored exams ask for full screen; browsers without full-screen support, such as on iPhone, skip that step.
When do students see their results?
If the school shows results, the score appears right after submitting. The per-question review opens only after the exam closes, so the key cannot leak. Parents see their child's CBT results in the parent portal.
Can CBT be used for PPDB selection tests?
Yes, when the PPDB module is on. The exam is linked to a selection stage so applicants take it without a student account. Selection exams must use behaviour monitoring and shuffle questions and options.
