School academic calendar and events
The Arkantara academic calendar brings academic dates, exams, holidays, meetings, and extracurricular activities into one monthly view. Each event is published to the whole school, specific classes, or staff, so students, parents, and teachers see only what concerns them.

What you can do

School events by category
Record academic dates, exams, holidays, activities, extracurriculars, and meetings with date range, time, and location. Events stay as drafts until published.

Whole school, classes, or staff
Choose whether an event is for the whole school, specific classes, or staff only. Guardians automatically see events for their child's class.

RSVPs and event attendance
Participants reply that they will attend or cannot make it, with a short note, and on the day managers mark who actually attended.

Notices, reminders, cancellations
The audience is notified when an event is published and the day before it starts. If an event is cancelled, they receive a cancellation notice and the reminder is withdrawn.

Personal calendar via iCal link
Each user can create an iCal link for Google Calendar or Apple Calendar with the events, lessons, exams, and assignment due dates they are allowed to see.

Monthly academic calendar view
Browse the calendar by month or as a list of upcoming events. Events in the next seven days also appear on the school dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
Can the school calendar show up in Google Calendar?
Yes, by subscribing to a personal iCal link from the calendar page. The link is shown once, can be recreated or revoked, and carries titles, times, and rooms. Calendar apps may take a few hours to pick up changes.
Who can add and publish events?
By default the school admin and staff roles, or any other role given permission to manage the calendar. Everyone else sees only published events addressed to them.
Do parents see every school event?
No. Parents see whole-school events and events for their child's class. Events addressed to staff only are not shown to students or guardians.
