School bus and student transport app
The Arkantara transport module helps schools run their school buses, from routes and pickup stops to the riders on every trip. Staff record who boards, and guardians are notified when their child is marked as not boarding.

What you can do

Vehicles, drivers, and status
Record plate number, seat capacity, and active or maintenance status, plus drivers with licence number and phone.

School bus routes and stops
Build routes with pickup stops and an optional capacity per stop. A new rider is refused when the vehicle's seats or the stop are full.

Pickup and drop-off schedules
Set pickup and drop-off times per route, operating days, and different times for particular weekdays. Stop times shift to match.

Rider attendance on every trip
Open a pickup or drop-off trip and mark each student as boarded, not boarded, or excused. The student and guardians are notified of a missed ride.

Emergency contacts and ride history
Every rider assignment stores an emergency contact. Guardians see the route, pickup stop, and ride history in the parent portal.

Reports and monthly fees
Download trip reports as CSV. With the finance module, each route's monthly fee is billed once per student per month.
Frequently asked questions
Is there live GPS tracking of the school bus?
Not yet. GPS tracking is waiting on a tracking device and provider. Today Arkantara records routes, schedules, and who boards each trip, not the vehicle's live position.
How do parents know their child missed the bus?
When staff mark a student as not boarded, the linked guardians and the student get a notification with the route, pickup or drop-off direction, and date. Ride history is also in the parent portal.
Can transport fees be billed from the app?
Yes, with the finance module. Each route has a monthly fee; the school reviews that month's riders and issues one invoice per student. Running it again is safe because a student already billed is never billed twice.
